The influence of big money in politics lets corporate donors buy off elected officials. Working people, united, can reclaim political power by electing honest representatives. Help me win a seat in Congress so we can show the corporate class that they don’t have the only say.
The plan is practical solutions
For way too long our politics has been influenced by big donors and lobbyist who just want the wealthy to become more wealthy. I want to bring a rational working class voice to congress, to bring the conversations back to what really matters: our economy.
Todays families are struggling to get by on many levels. We need to revitalize our job market and create better jobs that fulfill peoples lives. We need to create housing projects that actually drive down prices and build more homes. We need to fix a faulty healthcare system that leaves Americans in debt or dead. No more politicians telling us everything is fine while the working class struggles.
Housing doesnt have to be a lost dream
The median age of first-time homebuyers has reached 40. This is an existential issue for America. Young adults are being priced out of their cities, working families lack the flexibility to relocate for jobs, and many older Americans must delay retirement because of high, long-term mortgage burdens. Proven solutions, used both domestically and abroad, can address these challenges.
Zero Profit Public Option
I will fight to establish a public infrastructure program that acquires dilapidated neighborhoods and rezones underused land. We will redevelop these areas with modern infrastructure and build new homes to be sold at cost, with no profit margin. This approach revitalizes our cities, pressures private-market prices downward, and creates thousands of union jobs.
Pro-Union, Pro-Worker
Utah has long been known as the “Beehive State” and thats because of a robust job market. We need to strengthen the laws that protect our workers and expand their ability to unionize. We know that union jobs have higher pay, more benefits, healthier working conditions, and give a voice to the workers. I believe Unions are the only way we resolve increaseing corporate greed. Corporations have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to increase profits at the expense of the workers, Unions provide a legal framework to defend those workers.
The PRO Act
I will fight to pass the PRO act to strengthen the ability for American workers to unionize and fight against injustices. I will also fight to expand anti union-busting laws and make sure they get enforced.
